🩰Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley/ Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Summer Dance Program🩰

Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley offers a comprehensive summer dance program designed for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from beginners just starting ballet to serious students preparing for advanced training. Programs include professional instruction, guest master teachers, and a variety of dance styles to help dancers grow their technique, artistry, and confidence.

🌟 Pre-Professional Day Intensive (Ages 9+)

Designed for serious dancers, the Pre-Professional Day Intensive offers a well-rounded training experience including:

  • Ballet Technique
  • Progressing Ballet Technique
  • Tap
  • Jazz
  • Musical Theatre
  • Modern Dance
  • Dance History
  • Ballet-themed projects and choreography

Students are placed by ability rather than age, and non-BGLV students will be evaluated during their first class.

Students may enroll for:

  • One week
  • Multiple weeks
  • The full program

Discounts are available for multi-week enrollment.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
8:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Tuesday & Thursday:
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Classes are held in person at the Ballet Guild studios.

🎓 Guest Master Teachers

Throughout the summer, students will train with renowned guest artists from major ballet companies, including:

  • Arian Molina Soca – Philadelphia Ballet
  • Rebeca Maso – Ballet Hispanico
  • Alexander Dutko – Ballet CNJ
  • Carolyn Lippert – ABT, Washington Ballet, San Francisco Ballet

Students can also participate in special “Meet the Artist” sessions on Thursdays at 12:00 PM, where guest instructors share their experiences and answer student questions.

Upper Intermediate / Advanced (Ages 12+)

For experienced dancers. Girls should be on pointe.

Training includes:

  • Ballet Technique
  • Pointe & Variations
  • Introduction to Modern
  • Progressing Ballet Technique
  • Tap
  • Musical Theatre
  • Dance History
  • Ballet studies and projects

Intermediate Level (Ages 9–11)

Designed for dedicated students building strong technique.

  • Introduction to Modern
  • Progressing Ballet Technique
  • Tap
  • Musical Theatre
  • Dance History
  • Ballet studies and projects

⭐ New for 2026: Broadway Week (Ages 12+)

A special 3-day musical theatre intensive featuring Broadway professionals.

8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Classes taught by:

  • Daniel Russell (Billy Elliot, West Side Story)
  • Carley Russell (West Side Story International Tour)

Students will explore:

  • Jazz technique
  • Theatre-style choreography
  • Partnering workshops
  • Musical theatre performance skills

🩰 Summer Community Dance Classes

Perfect for dancers of all experience levels, the Community Class Program offers evening classes for children, teens, and adults.

Drop-in classes are available for Adult/Teen Ballet, Pointe, and Progressing Ballet Technique.

👦 Special Opportunity for Boys

Boys ages 3–13 may enroll tuition-free in the following classes:

  • Pre-Ballet

  • Youth Ballet III
  • Boys Ballet (ages 6–9)
