11th Annual Family Friendly PEEPSFEST® Culminates
with the Iconic PEEPS® Chick Drop
What: PEEPSFEST®, the annual two-day New Year’s Eve festival at the iconic SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA, offers a celebration the entire family can enjoy. With family-friendly activities and the exciting PEEPS® Chick Drop, fans from all over the country have the chance to ring in the New Year with the Just Born family and friends. A giant illuminated PEEPS® Chick, weighing in at 400 pounds and standing tall at four feet and nine inches, will once again be dropped to ring in the New Year on Dec. 31 at 5:15 p.m.
What’s New
This year’s PEEPSFEST® brings new and exciting events for the entire family to participate in.
· DaVinci Science Center – Mixing Matters at 11:30a.m. & 1p.m. on 12/30: Learn the exciting side of chemical reactions through engaging experiments such as exploding soap monsters and fun with liquid nitrogen
· Cooking with PEEPS® Demo – at PBS39 at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4.p.m. on 12/30-12/31: Join ArtsQuest Center Chefs for this 20-minute demo showcasing a few creative ways to have fun in the kitchen with PEEPS®
· One Mile Fun Run – at 12p.m. on 12/30: Test your speed and agility at the Fun Run beginning at the ArtsQuest Center
Festival Favorites
PEEPSFEST® is happy to bring back festival favorites for returning fans as well.
· PEEPSFEST® 5K: Starts and ends at the SteelStacks Campus at 1p.m. on 12/31 ($35 registration by Dec 1, $40 from December 1 until race day)
· Mascot Dash: Families can witness some of the Lehigh Valley’s beloved mascots face-off in some friendly competition
· PEEPSONALITY® Contest: Don’t miss out; this contest encourages fans to show off their PEEP-tastic outfits for a fun prize!
· Other returning activities include the PEEPS® diorama competition at PBS39, the Leaning Tower of PEEPS-a and the Family Disco Lounge featuring live music, balloon art, inflatables and more ($9 for ages 17 and under, adults free)!
· Take your picture with the PEEPS® Chick Mascot and the PEEPSMOBILE®
Come for the activities and stay for the PEEPS® Chick Drop and fireworks show after a live performance from Lolly Hopwood and Friends!
