My daughter is a reader. She takes after me when it comes to reading books being one of her favorite hobbies. We are always on the lookout for some incredible reads to transport her to new places in her imagination. We were ecstatic when we stumbled upon Soul Riders: Jorvik Calling, which is the first book in the Star Stable series. The book combines her favorite genres: magical worlds, animals, and a team of girl heroes on an adventurous journey. The story follows the Soul Riders as each of them forge a special bond with their horses, unlocks their own power, and discovers their destiny to save the world.
The magical world of Jorvik comes alive in the writing and, thanks to the digital game, Star Stable Online, we can experience Jorvik on the computer too. Star Stable Online is a horse adventure game where players care for horses, face challenges, and join the community of millions of girls around the world experiencing their adventures in Jorvik together. Currently, my daughter is on a quest to save Moorland Stable from the G.E.D. who want to demolish it and build condos on the land. While going through the mission quests, you can unlock new paths and explore the world of Jorvik. It has open play as you unlock new places by completing missions. She loves that she can play with her friends and join character clubs, such as the Bobcats, to complete riding missions and races either with friends or solo. By earning Star Coins in the game you can unlock new outfits and experiences.
Soul Riders: Jorvik Calling is our favorite read right now. We are excited for book two in the Star Stable series to be released. We love pairing the book with the online adventure game, Star Stable Online and experiencing Jorvik by becoming a Soul Rider just like the book characters.
