In honor of the holiday season, Macaroni Kid Allentown is bringing back a weekly article with 5 things to do each weekend in the surrounding area! This will replace the monthly bucket list article, because there is just TOO MUCH to limit it to 5 things for the whole month!

Come watch the Hanover Township tree lighting and enjoy hot chocolate, hot dogs, horse & carriage rides, and more! (Friday, December 3rd)
2. Have an Old Fashioned Christmas at Hausman's Fruit Farm (https://kutztown-to-allentown.macaronikid.com/events/618319ada7526c17f804a610/a-country-christmas-with-the-hausmans)
Hausman's Fruit Farm is one of my family's favorite places in The Lehigh Valley. This year, the farm is hosting their second annual country Christmas celebration. The event features hayrides, s'mores over a campfire, pictures with Santa, movies projected onto the barn, and more! This is #1 on our weekend plans! (Friday-Sunday, December 3rd-5th)
3. Get Competitive at a Gingerbread House Making Contest (https://kutztown-to-allentown.macaronikid.com/events/61a23c5b517093414889b1a1/gingerbread-house-contest)
This year, Creative Learning Labs in Allentown will be having their first ever Gingerbread House Contest. Kids can spend the morning decorating a gingerbread house. Then, pictures of the completed houses will be posted online for friends and families to vote on. The top three gingerbread houses will win a special prize! Kids over the age of 5 can be dropped off for this event so that parents can Christmas shop and prepare for the season! (Saturday, December 4th)
4. Watch The Olde Towne Carolers at The Promenade (https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/61a54376cc4e9a2740dc710f/olde-towne-carolers-at-the-promenade)
Come to the Promenade this Saturday between 12:30-2:00 to see carolers performing at The Patio. Stay and walk around to enjoy the Christmas decorations and get some of that holiday shopping done! (Saturday, December 4th)
5. Celebrate the end of Hanukkah at the JCC (https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/61929edebe2f686c9f2f0be4/community-hanukkah-celebration)
Celebrate Hanukkah at the Jewish Community Center. (Sunday, December 6th)
