5 Things to do This Weekend in the Bethlehem Area (December 10th-12th)

December 7, 2021

In honor of the holiday season, Macaroni Kid Bethlehem is bringing back a weekly article with 5 things to do each weekend in the surrounding area! This will replace the monthly bucket list article, because there is just TOO MUCH to limit it to 5 things for the whole month!

1. See The Nutcracker at Zoellner Arts Center (https://zoellner.cas.lehigh.edu/content/pennsylvania-youth-ballets-nutcracker-0)

I am beyond excited to take my kiddos to their first production of The Nutcracker this weekend at my alma mater. I have wonderful memories of seeing The Nutcracker as a child, and I cannot wait to see my children experience the magic. There are limited seats available, so if you'd like to snag one, act soon! (Saturday and Sunday, December 11th and 12th)

2. Spend All Weekend Celebrating in Nazareth (https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/6192a6c5a597357917d52015/nazareth-tree-lighting and https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/6178321ec406c02d07c8cb87/christmas-in-nazareth)

Friday night, head to Nazareth to watch their tree lighting. We all know how much I love a good tree lighting! Then head back to Nazareth during the day on Saturday for local vendors, food, drinks, and more! (Friday and Saturday, December 10th and 11th)

3. Drop the Kids off at Sweet and Sassy and Take a Night Off! (https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/61a6716d72f83e0f9408b4f5/drop-and-shop-at-sweet-and-sassy)

This Friday night, you can drop your potty-trained children off at Sweet and Sassy to enjoy pizza, holiday crafts, dancing, and a special hairdo! While the kids are entertained you can go out to dinner or enjoy a night of shopping. The most amazing thing about this event is the price! It's cheaper than a babysitter!!! (Friday, December 10th)

4. Encourage Your Child's Creative Side at Snowmen and Cookies Painting (https://www.facebook.com/events/4842608712430284?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22surface%22%3A%22page%22%7D]%7D)

Creative Learning Labs in Allentown will be hosting a Snowmen and Cookie Painting event this Saturday. Older children (6+) can be dropped off, or you can stay with your kiddos and watch them create a beautiful piece of art that they can cherish for years to come. All while snacking on delicious cookies! (Saturday, December 11th)

5. Visit Downtown Bethlehem for all the Christmas Magic

For a spontaneous night out, head to Downtown Bethlehem and take a stroll along Main Street. Enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights, watch the carriages, and pop in and out of shops to do a little shopping. Bethlehem really is the most magical city this time of year, and it doesn't take much to enjoy it!
