Looking for kid-friendly New Year's Eve events in The Lehigh Valley? We've got your list of Dec. 31 family-friendly events happening in Bethlehem and the surrounding areas along with New Year's Day fun too!

Peepsfest (https://www.steelstacks.org/festivals/peepsfest/)

Peepsfest is back this year, with an outdoor setting and COVID safety protocols so that you can relax and enjoy the fun with your kids! If you haven't been to Peepsfest at the SteelStacks in the past, you are missing out! This is the number one stop for our family every year. For a low entry fee, your kids can play games, hear live music, and cheer on the giant peep drop! The event is wrapped up by a beautiful firework display. The best part, this is an early event that ends around 6:00, so you can celebrate with your kiddos and still have them home at a reasonable hour!

Noon Year's Eve (https://www.facebook.com/events/474004364045088)

Sweet and Sassy is hosting a New Years bash this New Years, starting at 10:00 AM. Bring your kids and let them enjoy a sparky make-up application, nail polish, pizza, craft, and a countdown at 12:00 with a special balloon drop! Sweet and Sassy events are always a fun time!

Allentown New Year's Eve Celebration (https://downtownallentown.com/2021nye/)

If your kiddos are a bit older, and can stay up late, the city of Allentown is hosting a New Year's celebration! This is a FREE outdoor event and features performances, beverages for purchase, and a special fireworks display at midnight.

Crayola's Jazzberry Jammin' New Years Eve (https://www.crayolaexperience.com/easton/things-to-do/colorful-christmas)

This is another fun event that I have taken my kids to in the past, and it was so much fun! All of the regular and special Christmas-themed Crayola exhibits are open, as well as a few special New Year's-themed exhibits as well. There are two mid-day countdowns at 12 and 2 and character performances. Finally, I don't know what a Silent Disco Dance party is, but sign me up!

Things to Do New Year's Day in The Lehigh Valley:

Go for a New Year's Hike! (https://www.wildlandspa.org, https://www.lehighvalleylive.com/news/2018/05/take_a_hike_10_of_the_best_tra.html)

Start the new year off on the right foot... literally. Bundle the kids up and head to one of the many surrounding areas for a hike. The Wildlands Conservancy has some great trails for little legs that can't handle too much of a walk, as does Lehigh Parkway. I also found a great article (listed above) from Lehigh Valley Live with several trails that could be great for more seasoned hikers.

Head out for a New Year's Brunch (https://www.theflyingeggbethlehem.com, https://www.billysdiner.com/bethlehem/menu/breakfast/, https://www.trivetdiner.com/home)

After staying up late celebrating, who wants to cook? There are several family-friendly locations in the Lehigh Valley that offer a delicious brunch for parents and kids! Get the kids dressed up for a nice breakfast, or head to your local diner for a casual breakfast. Either way, take the morning off!

Stay in the Holiday Spirit for Just One More Day (https://www.lvzoo.org/event/winter-light-spectacular/, https://christmasincolor.net/allentown

The Winter Lights Spectacular and Christmas in Color both end their seasons on January 1st. Before you let go of Christmas, spend one more day taking in the beautiful lights and enjoying the season.
