Macaroni Kid Bethlehem's January Bucket List

January 5, 2022

The holiday season is over we've entered the heart of winter. The days are short, the weather is cold, and you may be asking yourself how to keep your kids entertained. Macaroni Kid Bethlehem has you covered! Check out one of these suggestions, or visit our events page for more ideas each day.

1. Head to the Bethlehem Public Library for tons of FREE Events (https://www.facebook.com/paBAPL/events/?ref=page_internal)

I am always impressed when I check the events page for Bethlehem Public Library. The librarians always plan great events and cover a wide range of interests. Dungeons and Dragons, LGBTQ+ Group, Yoga, Teen Advisory Board, and so much more! The library updates their offerings frequently, so check back often.

2. Visit the Cops 'n Kids Reading Room in South Bethlehem for FREE Books (https://www.copsnkidslv.org/reading-room/)

The Cops 'n Kids Reading Room at the NCC Southside Branch is an absolute gem! It's like taking your kids to Barnes and Nobel for FREE! The Reading Room is large room well stocked with books for every age (adults too!) and staffed by retired teachers. There are comfy couches, tables, and chairs, where you can sit and read a book or two in addition to crafts and coloring pages. At the end of your visit, every chid is able to take up to five books home! They also host special events on weekends often! Check out the webpage for more information.

3. Check Out Banana Factory's FREE Toddler Storytime (https://www.steelstacks.org/event/11717/toddler-storytime/)

Beginning January 6th, Banana Factory will be hosting a FREE story time for children ages 18 months - 6 years. Each week will have a different theme. After story time, stay and explore the beautiful galleries!

4. Take a Road Trip to Philadelphia for Jurassic Quest (https://bethlehem.macaronikid.com/events/61bcd75b30848c7b10af145f/jurassic-quest-at-the-pennsylvania-convention-center)

Take a quick road trip to Philadelphia to see life-sized dinosaurs! There will also be dinosaur shows, interactive activities, games, crafts, fossil digs, and more!

5. Plan a Spa Day with your Kids! (https://www.sweetandsassy.com/lehigh-valley/#~7I3A6c4)

Now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, take the day off to relax! Sweet and Sassy has a vast menu of options for your child, including manicures, pedicures, makeovers and more!
