Once a year, downtown Allentown shuts down to make room for all things barbecue! This Saturday, you can visit this free festival - full of live music, activities, vendors, and of course.... BBQ! Bring your appetite and prepare to have some fun! Fun note: The DaVinci Science Center will have family-friendly activities like engineering your own bubble wand, explore Joia Tubes and create your own musical instrument, and build the tallest tower with KEVA planks at the festival.(Saturday, June 22nd)
Visit the beautiful Bethlehem Rose Garden this Saturday for Rose Fest 2024. In addition to the weekly farmer's market, there will be Native American Music and Dance, a puppet show, games, live music, vendors, and self-guided tours of the Rose Garden. (Saturday, June 22nd)
3- SpongeBob Squarepants Party
Trails End Cafe at the beautiful Bear Creek Mountain Resort is already one of the most scenic places to grab a bite in the area. My kids love the milkshake menu, and my husband and I love the views! This Friday, the cafe will be extra special with a SpongeBob Squarepants party! The night will feature our Bikini Bottom SpongeBob Trivia, a SpongeBob themed menu, a costume party and live streaming of SpongeBob. (Friday, June 21st)
4- Take in an Outdoor Concert
Another weekend in the Lehigh Valley, another extensive list of FREE outdoor concerts! This weekend, options include: Upper Saucon Township Summer Concert Series, Live in the Garden Summer Concert Series, Music in Dimmick Park, West Park Concert Series, 2024 Concert Series in the Kutztown Band Shell, and Emmaus Concerts in the Park. You can attend a different concert each night with this lineup! (Friday - Sunday, June 21st - 23rd)
5- Visit a Local Farmer's Market
There are so many great Farmer's Markets in the Lehigh Valley, and it's a great way to load up on great produce, meats, baked goods, and more. The best part is you are shopping local and supporting small businesses! Here's an article from a couple of years ago with some of my family's favorites: https://kutztown-to-allentown.macaronikid.com/articles/607356bea369a5622d0957d0/five-great-farmers-markets-in-the-lehigh-valley
