Week 4 on Jenny Craig

This article highlights my journey with Jenny Craig for the week of March 15-21

This is my 4th week on Jenny Craig and I am proud to say I am still going strong and learning to incorporate so many healthy habits into my daily life. Thanks to Jenny Craig, I have been able to jump start my metabolism by eating all day. Yes, you heard that right, eating all day. By eating all three meals and three snacks in-between, I am eating a balanced diet of 1200 calories a day and losing weight. (* Avg. weight loss 1-2 lbs/week for members following the program) I meet with my consultant once a week to get my new menu, get weighed in, talk about challenges, celebrate successes, and then she grocery shops for me right there in the center and I bring my food home. I am proud to say I am down 7.5 lbs and still losing (* Avg. weight loss 1-2 lbs/week for members following the program). 

The key to my weight-loss is following the Jenny Craig weight loss program and following these 4 Healthy Habits:

  • Healthy Habit #1 eating right on the Jenny Craig plan to get my metabolism going again. 
  • Healthy Habit #2 daily weigh-ins at home and weekly weigh-ins with my consultant to document my progress
  • Healthy Habit #3 drinking water all day...everyday
  • Healthy Habit #4 get moving

By keeping these 4 goals in mind, I have remained focused and successful in the program. Along with eating the delicious meals I receive from Jenny Craig, I also make sure to get 30-60 minutes each day on my elliptical. I drink as much water as I can throughout the day and I use the Jenny Craig app to keep track of my weight. I have a goal number in mind and that is my motivator through all of this. The fact that I simply enjoy the food is enough to keep me from straying from the program. That is a HUGE bonus because I am a picky eater. I look forward to the meals and snacks and haven't had any cravings. I can still enjoy chocolate cheesecake or a vanilla cupcake along with meals like Bourbon Steak. I eat a snack bar each day that helps keep me full between meals and is tasty. 




This week is my birthday. The best gift I could have ever given myself is following these 4 Healthy Habits and working toward a better me. I am going to greet 36 with open arms and I am so excited for what this year is going to bring. I love the changes I am making to my lifestyle. I love the example I am setting for my kids.
