This week threw a few curve balls to say the least. I am adjusting to the new normal of working from home, distance learning for my kids, and staying sane. I know we are all in this boat of trying to figure out how this is all going to work. In the midst of everything going on in the outside world I am thankful for the one constant I have right now, Jenny Craig. Let me explain. The old me of five weeks ago would have been stress eating out of control and probably would be looking for snacks out of boredom. Not the new me though. See, Jenny Craig has me set on a plan and I love a good plan. I love to have things laid out so I can follow and not stress about what comes next. I'm not a fan of the unknown. Jenny Craig offers me a familiarity, plan, and reassurance during this period of Corona-Craziness. Thanks to my menu, I am able to focus on food in a way that keeps me from grabbing random snacks that aren't so good for me. Having my menu on the fridge of my 3 meals a day with 3 snacks in-between gives me the direction I need to make good choices even during this chaotic time.

Jenny Craig has made sure I am able to easily stay on track during this period of social distancing. Jenny Craig is using curbside delivery to make sure their clients have the food they need. I pop my trunk and they place the bags in the back and we wave goodbye. I still get to talk to my consultant once a week as well. We have switched to phone consultations but the dynamic hasn't changed. We still talk about successes, goals, and possible difficulties in the coming week. We talk strategies to stay on track. Weighing myself at home on a daily basis was something I was already doing since starting the program so there was no adjustment there. We talk about where I am at in terms of my weight loss which I am proud to say is 10.5lbs (* Avg. weight loss 1-2 lbs/week for members following the program). I am still enjoying their great food options, trying more snack choices, and I feel confident in picking up my food during this period of social distancing.
